I listened “In Dog We Trust”. It described the situation very well by using sound effect. The podcast has been developed with science. If there is more developed software, the podcast can get more sophisticated and interested to people. The podcast are using lots of different sound effects to make message clear. First of all, sound engineer make voice clear to understand by changing EQ. For example, it can decrease mumbling sound or make attractive voice. Also, it can decrease noise. When they talk about story, they use sound effect to make story fun as music, silence and sounds from other sources. For example, sad story needs sad music or party story needs fun music. It increases listener’s curiosity and interest. However, they do not use that effect every time. Too many sound effects can cause interruption of concentration in story and listener can feel the podcast is noisy. It always has to realize the moderate importance.
